A recent Abacus Data poll in Canada has revealed significant shifts in public opinion. The Liberal Party now leads the Conservative Party by an unprecedented 14 points, with 47% of respondents supporting the Liberals and 33% backing the Conservatives.

This gap widens to 50-33 among Canadians certain to vote. Meanwhile, a remarkable 46% of respondents identify Donald Trump and his administration as one of the three most important issues facing Canada, surpassing the rising cost of living (65%) and the economy (39%).

The data suggests that the Liberal Party is better positioned to deal with the issue of Trump, with 68% of those who see him as a top-three concern supporting the Liberals. Only 12% choose the Conservatives.

A staggering 82% of Canadians have a negative impression of Trump, while just 10% hold a positive view. Even among Conservative supporters, 60% express disapproval and only 25% approval.
