Loonie Falls Further as Canadian Dollar Slumps

The Canadian dollar continued its downward trend on Friday morning, adding to its multi-day decline.

As of 8:36 am CDT, the loonie traded at US$0.7211 or US$1=C$1.3866, a slight dip from Thursday's close of US$0.7235 or US$1=C$1.3822.

The United States Dollar Index remained relatively stable at 98.785.
