Loonie Gains Amid Crude Oil Surge
The Canadian dollar experienced a small gain on Monday morning as the US dollar dipped and crude oil prices increased.
As of 8:36 am CDT, the Loonie was at US$0.7206 or US$1=C$1.3878, compared to Friday's close of US$0.7200 or US$1=C$1.3888.
The U.S. Dollar Index slipped 0.163 of a point at 99.495, while crude oil prices surged following reports of the US and Iran trading blows over the weekend.
