Luxembourg Tops European Minimum Wage Rankings as Ukraine Remains at Bottom

The European economy is marked by significant variations in minimum wages, even within the EU. According to Eurostat data analyzed by Euronews, as of July 2026, Luxembourg holds the top spot with a monthly minimum wage of €2,771. The next four countries with the highest minimum wages are Ireland (€2,391), Germany (€2,343), the Netherlands (€2,338), and Belgium (€2,234). France ranks just below this group with a minimum wage of €1,867.

The middle segment consists of Slovenia, Spain, Lithuania, Poland, Cyprus, Greece, Portugal, and Croatia. Their minimum wages range from €1,050 to €1,482 per month.

Ukraine has the lowest minimum wage among all countries included in the ranking at €169 per month, followed closely by Moldova with a minimum wage of €313.
