Macklem Defends Bank of Canada's Use of Replacement Workers During Strike
The Bank of Canada's governor, Macklem, has defended the central bank's decision to use replacement workers during a strike by security officers.
The strike involved security officers who were employed by GardaWorld to provide services at the Bank of Canada's headquarters in Ottawa.
Macklem stated that the bank had no choice but to use replacement workers to maintain business continuity and ensure the safety and security of its employees and facilities.
