Major Currencies Decline in Kyrgyzstan's Financial Markets on July 29
The financial markets in Kyrgyzstan have experienced another day of fluctuations, with several major currencies experiencing depreciation. The euro, Russian ruble, Kazakh tenge, and Chinese yuan all declined on July 29, while the US dollar maintained its position.
According to data from the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan and exchange points in Bishkek, the official exchange rate for the euro decreased by 0.25 percent, reaching 99.4525 soms. The average buying price was 99.18 soms, while the selling price was 100.18 soms.
The Russian ruble also declined, falling to 1.1193 soms with a decrease of 0.29 percent. However, at exchange points, the buying price was slightly lower at 1.027 soms, and the selling price was higher at 1.127 soms.
Notably, the Kazakh tenge experienced the largest decline among all currencies, depreciating by 0.86 percent to 0.1836 soms. The official exchange rate for the Chinese yuan remained relatively stable, with a minimal decrease of 0.01 percent to 12.9218 soms.
