Malta's Inflation Rate Below EU Averages in July
Malta's inflation rate remains below both the euro area and European Union averages. According to Eurostat, Malta recorded an annual inflation rate of 2.1% in July 2026.
This is a slight increase from June's 2.0%, but still among the lower rates across EU member states.
The country's relatively stable price growth stands out compared to many European economies.
In contrast, Romania recorded the highest inflation rate at 8.2%, followed by Lithuania at 5.4% and Cyprus and Bulgaria both registering 4.4%.
