Manulife Financial Corp (NYSE:MFC) has attracted significant investments from institutional investors. Callan Family Office LLC made a new purchase of 88,157 shares valued at approximately $3,571,000 during the second quarter. This is not an isolated instance as other firms such as UBS Group AG and Generali Asset Management SPA SGR also increased their stakes in the financial services provider.
UBS Group AG grew its position by 10.0% in the fourth quarter, while Generali Asset Management SPA SGR increased its stake by 1,092.1%. Other notable investors include Swiss National Bank and Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan Trust Fund, which raised their holdings in the company's shares.
Despite these investments, Manulife Financial's stock price has been subject to fluctuations. The business opened at $42.54 on Friday with a 50-day moving average of $42.48 and a two-hundred day moving average of $38.90.
