Market Sentiment Shifts as COT Report Reveals Key Positioning Changes
The latest Commitment of Traders (COT) report from FXStreet provides insights into market positioning and sentiment. Natural Gas saw commercial positioning near its upper end, while Large Speculators were net short at -208,911 contracts. The price increased by 2.01%. Australian Dollar was also near the upper end of its range, with Large Speculators net short at -39,406 contracts, despite a price increase of 0.59%.
Other assets showed mixed results. Palladium's commercial positioning was in the upper half of its range, but Large Speculators were net short at -4,305 contracts following a price decline of 3.18%. Euro FX and Canadian Dollar both saw improvements in speculative net positioning, with Euro FX increasing by 0.25%.
Crude Oil (WTI) experienced significant gains, with a 9.32% increase in price. Gasoline and Heating Oil also rose, while Natural Gas declined slightly despite its commercial positioning near the upper end of its range.
