Markets Breathe Sigh of Relief as Oil Prices Rebound
Global shares mostly rose on Tuesday after a Wall Street rally, thanks to easing oil prices.
The dollar rose against the yen following a joint U.S.-Japan currency intervention last week. However, analysts said its effectiveness is uncertain as it doesn't address the fundamental economic reasons behind the fluctuations.
The euro fell slightly to $1.1513, and the dollar traded at 160-yen levels after regulators stepped in to boost the yen's value.
