Markets Plunge Globally Amid Bond Sell-Off and Escalating Tensions

Global markets continued their downward trend on Wednesday, following stocks' decline on Wall Street. The global bond sell-off intensified, pushing up yields and driving prices down.

The S&P 500 future lost 0.3%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average's future dropped by 0.1%. In early European trading, Britain's FTSE 100 shed 0.6% to 10,726.68, France's CAC 40 fell 0.4% to 8,260.77, and Germany's DAX lost 0.6% to 25,798.01.

In Asia, Tokyo's Nikkei 225 dropped 2.9% to 64,325.64, with market heavyweight SoftBank Group falling by 6.4%. South Korea's Kospi lost 4% to 6,562.72 on renewed selling of computer chipmakers, including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix.

The US dollar fell against the Japanese yen, dropping from 160.17 yen to 159.84 yen. The euro slipped to $1.1571 from $1.1593.
