McDonald's NZ Spending Surges Past Half Billion
McDonald's has been buying ingredients worth over half a billion dollars from New Zealand farms in 2025. The company spent more than $256 million on local suppliers for its restaurants, up from $235 million in 2024.
The value of New Zealand-produced ingredients supplied to overseas markets was $324 million, an increase from $287 million the previous year.
McDonald's head of impact and communications Simon Kenny attributed the growth in spending to the global commodity price of beef increasing by over $58 million.
