Mexican Peso Rallies Pause Ahead of US Inflation Report
The Mexican Peso weakened against the US Dollar on Monday as traders took profits after last week's disappointing US jobs report.
The USD/MXN pair traded at 17.14, a modest gain of 0.05%, while the US Dollar Index (DXY) rose over 0.20% to reach 99.80.
Last week, the US Greenback had been pressured by intervention in FX markets from US and Japanese authorities aimed at strengthening the Yen, but this move has since faded.
