Miró Print Heads to Auction in September with Estimated Price Tag

The upcoming auction at Mainichi Auction features a rare etching by Spanish artist Joan Miró. The artwork, titled Tracé sur la paroi IV, was created in 1967 and is one of only 75 prints in the edition.

Measuring 73.5 x 104 cm (28.9 x 40.9 in.), this etching is a combination of medium, featuring etching, aquatint, and carborundum techniques. The artwork will be sold on September 4, 2026, as part of the sale titled SALE 860 PAINTINGS, PRINTS AND SCULPTURE, with Lot 643 being the featured piece.

The estimated price for this rare Miró print is between 1 million to 1.5 million Japanese yen (approximately $6,293-$9,439 USD). The artwork has some stains and toning on the sheet, as well as minor tears to the edges.
