Mizuho Leasing Issues JPY 25 Billion in Unsecured Bonds in Japan
Mizuho Leasing Company, Limited has tapped Japan's corporate bond market for its latest funding round. The company issued two new series of unsecured straight corporate bonds totaling JPY 25 billion, according to an announcement.
The 36th bond totals JPY 10 billion with a 3-year maturity until July 27, 2029, while the 37th bond totals JPY 15 billion with a 5-year maturity until July 29, 2031. Both bonds are priced at par and will have semiannual interest payments.
The bonds were rated AA- by two major Japanese rating agencies and offered without collateral under Japan's book-entry transfer system. This highlights Mizuho Leasing's solid credit standing and provides investors with relatively high-grade fixed-income exposure in the yen market.
