NAB Survey: Australia's Business Conditions Edge Higher in July

Australia's business conditions continued to improve in July, according to the National Australia Bank's (NAB) monthly survey. The headline index rose to +4 from a revised +3 in June, indicating steady but modest momentum in the non-mining economy.

The marginal uptick suggests that firms are operating in a resilient environment, though growth remains subdued compared to earlier this year. Trading conditions and employment sub-components improved, while profitability remained stable.

NAB's survey also showed that forward-looking orders and capacity utilization remained consistent with moderate expansion. This provides a balanced picture for the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) as it assesses its next policy move.
