Naira Posts Marginal Gains Amid Euro Demand Surge

The Nigerian naira has seen some marginal gains in its value against major currencies. The exchange rate monitor shows that the naira traded at N225 to a dollar, appreciating by +0.66% compared to the previous day's value of N226.50/USD1.

The parallel market saw the naira trade for N225 to a dollar, while the pounds sterling and euro were exchanged for N327/£1 and N243/€1 respectively.

There was an increase in demand for euros in today's trade at the BDCs. The CBN has taken several measures to stem the worsening value of the naira against major currencies.
