Nasdaq Futures Rise as Investors Await Inflation Data

Nasdaq futures rose by about 100 points on Monday as investors entered a week dominated by inflation data, Middle East diplomacy, and technology earnings.

The cautious optimism followed Friday's record S&P 500 close after July payrolls unexpectedly fell by 23,000, sharply reducing expectations for another Federal Reserve rate increase in September.

Attention now turns to Wednesday's consumer prices, which could reset the Fed trade. A softer reading would strengthen the case for keeping rates unchanged; a renewed inflation surprise could quickly reverse Friday's bond-market relief.

CPI, or Consumer Price Index, is a key metric that Deutsche Bank analysts see as potentially decisive for September policy pricing.
