Nepal Rastra Bank Sets Foreign Exchange Rates for Major Currencies
The Nepal Rastra Bank has announced its foreign exchange rates for major currencies. The central bank sets the buying and selling rates for various assets, including US dollars, euros, UK pound sterling, Swiss francs, Australian dollars, Canadian dollars, Singapore dollars, Japanese yen, Chinese yuan, Saudi Arabian riyals, Qatari riyals, Thai bahts, UAE dirhams, Malaysian ringgits, South Korean won, Swedish kronas, Danish krone, Hong Kong dollars, Kuwaiti dinars, Bahraini dinars, Omani rials, and Indian rupees.
The buying rate for one US dollar is set at NPR 150.88, while the selling rate is NPR 151.48. The Swiss franc's buying rate is NPR 186.38, with a selling rate of NPR 187.12. The Thai baht's buying rate is NPR 4.58, and the selling rate is NPR 4.60.
The exchange rates can be revised at any time as needed, according to the central bank. It is also noted that the exchange rates set by commercial banks may vary.
