Nepal's Central Bank Sets New Foreign Exchange Rates
Nepal's central bank, Nepal Rastra Bank, has set new foreign exchange rates for various currencies. The buying rate for one US dollar is NPR 152.74, while the selling rate is NPR 153.34.
The bank also set the rates for other major currencies, including the European euro at NPR 174 (buying) and NPR 174.68 (selling), the UK pound sterling at NPR 203.08 (buying) and NPR 203.87 (selling), and the Swiss franc at NPR 186.33 (buying) and NPR 187.06 (selling).
The buying rate for one Australian dollar is NPR 106.03, while the selling rate is NPR 106.45; the Canadian dollar's rates are NPR 108.29 (buying) and NPR 108.72 (selling); and the Singapore dollar's rates are NPR 118.21 (buying) and NPR 118.67 (selling).
The bank also set rates for other currencies, including the Japanese yen at NPR 9.34 (buying) and NPR 9.37 (selling), the Chinese yuan at NPR 22.58 (buying) and NPR 22.66 (selling), and the Saudi Arabian riyal at NPR 40.69 (buying) and NPR 40.84 (selling).
The rates may be revised as needed, according to the central bank.
