Netherlands Nominates Klaas Knot as Next ECB President
The European Central Bank (ECB) is set to welcome a new president after Christine Lagarde's term ends. According to Report, citing Bloomberg, the Netherlands has nominated former Dutch central bank chief Klaas Knot for the post.
Knot headed the Dutch central bank from 2011 to 2025 and previously held various positions in financial policy. The Dutch Finance Ministry representative noted that Knot is highly qualified for key positions, but did not specify which posts were being discussed.
