Netherlands Nominates Klaas Knot for ECB President After Lagarde
The Netherlands has nominated former Dutch central bank chief Klaas Knot for the post of European Central Bank (ECB) president after Christine Lagarde's term ends. According to a representative of the Dutch Finance Ministry, cited by Bloomberg, Knot is also highly qualified for other key positions that may become vacant in the coming months.
Knot headed the Dutch central bank from 2011 to 2025 and previously held various positions in financial policy.
