New Zealand Aims to Become Trusted Data Centre Hub
A group of data centre operators and tech industry leaders in New Zealand have released a strategy to establish the country as a trusted and sustainable hub for data centre and AI infrastructure investment.
The report, titled 'Empowering Aotearoa New Zealand's Digital Future with Data Centres the New Zealand Way', outlines a vision for New Zealand to capture more of the value created by its growing demand for digital services by developing secure, efficient, and resilient domestic data centre capacity.
According to Tech New Zealand CEO Graeme Muller, 'data centres are the backbone of our digital economy, supporting the productivity, security, connectivity, and creativity that New Zealanders rely on every day.'
