New Zealand Central Bank Set to Raise Rates Again to Tackle Inflation
New Zealand's central bank is set to raise interest rates for the second consecutive meeting as it tackles emerging inflationary pressures.
The Reserve Bank's Monetary Policy Committee will increase the Official Cash Rate by 25 basis points to 2.75% on Wednesday in Wellington, according to a survey of 21 economists by Bloomberg.
This decision is expected to be accompanied by a Monetary Policy Statement, with Governor Anna Breman holding a news conference an hour after the announcement at 2 p.m. local time.
