Nikkei 225 Crashes on Higher Oil Prices and Rising Bond Yields
Tokyo's stock market took a hit on Wednesday as investors grew concerned about the impact of higher crude oil prices and rising bond yields on corporate performance.
The Nikkei 225, Japan's benchmark stock index, fell sharply for the third consecutive day to a one-month low, plummeting 2.85 percent to close at 64,325.
This decline was attributed to investors increasing their bets on an early rate hike by the Bank of Japan, causing long-term government bond yields to rise.
