Nikkei Drops 3.9%, Eyes NVIDIA Earnings and Jackson Hole Symposium
The Japanese stock market closed the week at 66,016.36, down 3.9% from the prior Friday.
This decline was attributed to rising long-term interest rates in Japan and the US, as well as uncertainty over the Middle East situation.
Rising expectations of an early additional rate hike by the Bank of Japan also weighed on the market.
