Noosa Tourism Surges Past $1 Billion Mark

According to Tourism Noosa's latest visitor forecast, international spending and strong domestic tourism have injected $1.25 billion into the Noosa economy over the past year.

The report reveals that 2.154 million people visited the region in the year ending March 2026, with a combined $1.256 billion spent during their stays.

Domestic overnight visitors contributed $931 million to this total, while international visitors spent a record $179 million, representing a 45% increase on the previous year and a 84% growth since before the Covid-19 pandemic.

New Zealand was Noosa's highest-spending international market, with visitors contributing $59.7 million, up 62% on the previous year, while the United Kingdom remained Noosa's largest international market by visitor numbers, with spending reaching $33.2 million, an increase of 47%.
