NRB Updates Foreign Exchange Rates for Various Currencies

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the updated foreign exchange rates for various currencies, effective immediately. The central bank sets these rates to guide commercial banks and facilitate transactions in Nepal.

The buying rate for one US dollar is now Rs 152.82, while the selling rate stands at Rs 153.42. This represents a slight adjustment from previous rates.

The NRB has also released exchange rates for other major currencies, including the euro, British pound sterling, Swiss franc, Australian dollar, Canadian dollar, Singapore dollar, and Japanese yen. These rates are as follows: euro (buying Rs 178.83, selling Rs 179.53), British pound sterling (buying Rs 208.73, selling Rs 209.55), Swiss franc (buying Rs 191.23, selling Rs 191.98), Australian dollar (buying Rs 109.46, selling Rs 109.89), Canadian dollar (buying Rs 111.17, selling Rs 111.61), Singapore dollar (buying Rs 120.45, selling Rs 120.92), and Japanese yen (10 units buying Rs 9.64, selling Rs 9.67).

The NRB has emphasized that exchange rates may be revised at any time based on market conditions. Commercial banks' rates might differ from these official rates, and the latest information is available on the NRB website.
