NSE Introduces Closing Auction Session Amid Global Market Volatility
The Indian stock market is set to introduce a new closing auction session starting from Monday. The mechanism involves regular trading ending at 3:15 PM, followed by a 20-minute session between 3:15 PM and 3:35 PM, where the closing price will be discovered through matching eligible buy and sell orders.
The Nasdaq-100 suffered its worst month since March 2025. Despite this, eight stocks in the index saw gains in July, including NVIDIA, which gained 4.7%.
Japan has confirmed its first joint currency intervention with the US in 15 years. The move aims to stabilize the Japanese Yen against the greenback, which slid to its lowest levels since 1986 last week.
