NZ Companies Surpass Forecast Growth Amid Reporting Season
New Zealand's listed companies have reported better-than-expected results from their latest reporting season. The median growth across the economy is +21%, exceeding forecasters' predictions of +16%. According to Forsyth Barr head of research Andy Bowley, this marks a significant improvement over a long trough in profitability for New Zealand-listed companies.
However, Bowley cautioned that the positive results may not be uniform across all companies and sectors. He noted that the economic outlook can be 'somewhat choppy' when examined on a company-to-company and sector-to-sector basis.
