NZD Climbs as Chinese Inflation Matches Expectations
The New Zealand Dollar (NZD) held its gains above 0.5850 after China released inflation data that matched market expectations.
The data showed a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 0.8% year-over-year in August, as well as a Producer Price Index (PPI) of 3.8%, both beating estimates.
Traders are now looking to the US inflation data due later this week for further guidance on interest rates and monetary policy.
