NZD Gains Against AUD as Yields Drop and Demand Weakens
The New Zealand Dollar (NZD) has been gaining strength against the Australian Dollar (AUD), driven by cross-currency flows responding to weaker demand for AUD. As U.S. Treasury yields decline, they reduce support for AUD relative to global peers, making it relatively weaker versus its competitors.
According to traders and analysts, this shift in yields has amplified the upward move in NZD/AUD. The pair currently trades above its key short-term moving averages but remains below its longer-term reference levels.
The Ichimoku Kijun level at A$0.8308 provides immediate support for the pair, which is expected to fluctuate within a typical volatility band of A$0.8291 to A$0.8375 over the next two to three trading days.
