NZD/IDR Maintains Bullish Momentum Amid Indonesian Fiscal Concerns
The New Zealand Dollar (NZD) has maintained its bullish momentum against the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), but faces potential short-term exhaustion. The NZD/IDR pair is currently trading at Rp10,271, a daily move up of 0.7%.
The IDR's weakness against major currencies is attributed to Indonesia's fiscal concerns driven by high oil prices and budget pressures. This has resulted in a risk premium on the Rupiah, boosting demand for counter-currencies like the NZD.
Momentum indicators are mixed, with some showing buying pressure while others indicate potential exhaustion. The Ichimoku Kijun level at Rp10,226 serves as the nearest support threshold.
The NZD/IDR is likely to consolidate within a volatility band between Rp10,219 and Rp10,322 in the next 2-3 trading days, with a balanced breakout risk of 50%.
