NZD Rebounds from One-and-a-Half Week Low Amid US Dollar Strength
The New Zealand Dollar has rebounded from its one-and-a-half-week low, trading around 0.5790 against the US Dollar on Friday.
This rise comes despite the underlying strength of the US Dollar, which remains supported by rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
After the United States carried out military strikes against Iran, the region saw additional attacks targeting US-linked military assets, heightening concerns over global Oil supply disruptions and pushing energy prices higher.
This has revived inflation fears, reinforcing expectations that the Federal Reserve could keep monetary policy restrictive for longer and potentially deliver another interest rate hike before the end of the year.
