NZD/USD Holds Steady Ahead of FOMC Guidance Amidst US-Iran Tensions

The NZD/USD exchange rate held steady around 0.5860-0.5900 during the Asian session on Wednesday, as investors remained cautious ahead of the FOMC meeting's conclusion.

Heightened US-Iran tensions and oil-driven inflation concerns supported the US Dollar, but a hawkish stance from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) provided a counterbalance, lending support to the NZD.

The RBNZ's policy backdrop argues for additional rate hikes in New Zealand, which is supportive of the NZD. This hawkish outlook acts as a counterweight to USD strength, limiting the scope for an extended decline in NZD/USD.
