NZD/USD Rebounds Amid US Dollar Strength and Global Inflation Fears
The New Zealand Dollar has rebounded to trade around 0.5790 against the US Dollar on Friday, up 0.27% from its one-and-a-half-week low.
This recovery comes as geopolitical tensions in the Middle East continue to support the Greenback, with rising concerns over global oil supply disruptions pushing energy prices higher and reviving inflation fears.
The Federal Reserve is expected to keep monetary policy restrictive for longer due to these inflationary pressures, potentially leading to another interest rate hike before the end of the year.
In contrast, the New Zealand Dollar finds support from stronger-than-expected inflation data, reinforcing expectations that the Reserve Bank of New Zealand will continue tightening monetary policy.
