The New Zealand Dollar (NZD) has gained over 0.30% against the US Dollar, but its momentum is fading as it approaches a key resistance level of 0.5800.

At the time of writing, the NZD/USD trades at 0.5789, after bouncing off daily lows of 0.5767.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) indicates that momentum has turned bullish, but is now about to pierce bearish territory, suggesting a potential reversal in trend.

According to the technical outlook, if NZD/USD breaches the key resistance level below 0.5800, it will expose confluence of the 100- and 200-day Simple Moving Averages (SMAs) at 0.5823/24.
