NZX 50 Rebounds Amid Wall Street Optimism and Robust Trade Data
New Zealand's stocks rebounded on Monday, ending their two-session losing streak and rising by 64 points or 0.5% to close at 13,888.
The gains were largely due to a strong showing in the healthcare, financials, and industrials sectors, which tracked the rise on Wall Street on Friday after softer-than-expected labor data dampened expectations of a Fed rate hike at the September meeting.
Positive trade data from China also continued to support the market, with export growth remaining robust. However, traders remained cautious ahead of this week's US inflation data release, which could provide clues about the Federal Reserve's monetary policy at its upcoming meeting.
