NZX 50 Soars to Fresh Record High on Sector Gains

New Zealand's stock market reached a fresh record high in morning trade on Wednesday, climbing 15 points or 0.1% to 13,877.

The broader index was supported by gains in real estate, energy, consumer discretionary stocks, financials, and communication services.

Easing oil prices and reduced expectations of further interest rate hikes due to easing inflation concerns contributed to the market's momentum.

However, traders remained cautious ahead of key economic releases, including the Fed's monetary policy decision, China's PMI data, and New Zealand's consumer confidence and business outlook data for July.

A number of stocks saw significant gains, led by AFT Pharmaceuticals (up 2.2%), Delegat Group (1.9%), and Ventia Services Group (1.8%).
