Ontario PC Government Attracts $132 Million Manufacturing Investment in Burlington
The Ontario PC Government has announced a significant investment in Burlington's manufacturing sector. Tempel Canada is investing $132 million to more than double its footprint in the province, creating nearly 100 new jobs and sustaining over 200 existing ones. This move will enable the company to manufacture transformer components for homes, businesses, and industries driving Ontario's economy.
As demand for electricity continues to grow due to factors like artificial intelligence and data centers, Doug Ford's team is ensuring that Ontario has the necessary manufacturing capacity to strengthen North America's energy supply chains. The province will support this investment with $5 million through its Regional Development Program.
This investment marks another major win for the Ontario PC Government in attracting businesses to the province. Since 2018, Ontario has lured over $235 billion in new investments by implementing tax cuts and reducing red tape.
