Ontario PC Party Unveils $30 Billion Plan to Combat Tariff Impact
The Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario is standing up for communities affected by President Trump's tariffs. The party has unveiled a comprehensive plan to protect jobs, strengthen businesses, and build a more resilient economy.
The $30 billion plan includes several key initiatives: the $1 billion Protect Ontario Financing Program will provide financial support to tariff-impacted businesses, while the $150 million Ontario Together Trade Fund will help companies re-shore critical supply chains and find new markets. The party also proposes a $40 million Trade-Impacted Communities Program to assist communities facing economic disruption.
Additionally, the party plans to encourage investment in domestic manufacturing through an Ontario Made Manufacturing Investment Tax Credit. To further support local businesses, they will use Ontario's purchasing power to prioritize Ontario- and Canadian-made goods and services.
