Tariffs have put aluminum businesses in Langley and Aldergrove under pressure. However, Ottawa has responded with an investment of over $1.5 million to help them recover.

The funds are part of a larger initiative aimed at mitigating the effects of trade disruptions on Canada's economy. Gregor Robertson, minister responsible for Pacific Economic Development Canada, stated that by investing in B.C. businesses, they are protecting good jobs and strengthening Canada's long-term economic resilience.

One beneficiary is Langley-based Apex Aluminum Extrusions, which will receive $947,500 to support facility upgrades and automation technology. These investments aim to increase productivity and bolster domestic supply chains.
