Pakistan Keeps Petrol, Diesel Prices Unchanged Despite Expectations
Pakistani authorities have decided to keep petrol and diesel prices unchanged for August 11. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has issued a notification confirming that there will be no reduction or increase in petroleum product prices, disappointing consumers who had been expecting immediate relief.
The price of petrol will remain at Rs. 327.62 per liter, while the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has also been kept unchanged at Rs. 380.86 per liter. This decision comes despite expectations that a reduction in petroleum prices would be announced, providing some respite to consumers.
The government's decision means that petrol and diesel prices will continue to be determined by various factors, including international crude oil prices, the value of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar, and other relevant factors.
