Pakistani Rupee Edges Higher Against Dollar

The Pakistani rupee strengthened against the US dollar in the interbank market on Monday. It gained 0.93 paisa to close at PKR 277.70 per dollar, compared with PKR 277.71 in the previous session.

However, the rupee weakened against most major global currencies. Against the euro, it lost PKR 1.21, or 0.38%, and closed at PKR 321.15. The euro had closed at PKR 319.94 in the previous session.

The rupee also declined against the British pound by 1.56 paisa, or 0.42%, to end at PKR 374.97 compared with PKR 373.41 a day earlier.
