Pakistani Rupee Extends Upward Trend Against US Dollar
The Pakistani rupee posted another modest gain against the US dollar on Wednesday in the interbank market, extending its upward trend.
The local currency appreciated by Re0.03, or 0.01 percent, to close at Rs. 277.82 against the US dollar, which is a slight increase from the previous day's closing price of Rs. 277.85.
The appreciation in the rupee value comes as the US dollar remains near its one-month high globally due to fresh tensions in the Middle East and expectations of the US Federal Reserve's interest rate decision later in the day.
