Pakistani Rupee Marks 220 Consecutive Days in Green Against US Dollar
The Pakistani rupee (PKR) has closed in green against the US Dollar (USD) for the 220th consecutive day, marking a significant milestone. According to data released on Friday, the PKR gained three paisas against the USD, closing at 277.62.
This consistent gain is attributed to the rupee's performance since December 25, 2025, when it started reporting gains against the dollar. Despite other currencies experiencing losses against the PKR, including the British Pound (GBP) and Euro (EUR), which lost Rs. 2.45 and Rs. 2.46 respectively.
The PKR was stable against both the UAE Dirham (AED) and Saudi Riyal (SAR). Meanwhile, it lost Rs. 2 against the Australian Dollar (AUD) and Rs. 1.4 against the Canadian Dollar (CAD).
