Pakistan's NBP Releases Latest Foreign Exchange Rates
The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has released its latest foreign exchange rates for various currencies, including the US dollar, euro, and Japanese yen. The rates are effective from September 4, 2026, and serve as a benchmark for market activity. According to the NBP's treasury management division, these rates offer insight into prevailing market open rates.
The rates for some of the major currencies are: USD (TT Selling) at 277.80, EUR (TT Buying) at 322.91, JPY (TT Selling) at 1.7768, and GBP (TT Buying) at 375.88. The rates for other currencies such as Swiss Franc, Canadian Dollar, Australian Dollar, and Norwegian Krone are also available.
The NBP notes that its rates are not valid for transactions over 5,000 USD or equivalent in other currencies on a cumulative basis. Additionally, certain currencies such as New Zealand Dollar, Malaysian Ringgit, Thai Baht, Qatari Riyal, Kuwaiti Dinar, and others are listed but not available to the bank's customers.
