PAL Launches Nonstop Manila-Toronto Flights with New A350-1000
Philippine Airlines has launched its nonstop service from Manila to Toronto on June 5, 2026, using its brand-new Airbus A350-1000. The ultra-long-haul flight covers a distance of approximately 13,200 km (8,200 miles) and takes around 15 hours to complete.
The airline operates three weekly flights on this route, with the A350-1000 carrying 382 passengers across three cabins: Business, Premium Economy, and Economy. This is the second North American destination for PAL's A350-1000 fleet, following New York JFK.
Philippine Airlines has ordered nine A350-1000s under its 'Ultra Long Haul Fleet' project to power nonstop runs from Manila to North America's East Coast and Canada. The A350-1000 brings more range and capacity than PAL's existing A350-900 fleet, allowing the airline to match demand on its longest sectors.
Captain Stanley K. Ng, President & COO of Philippine Airlines, stated that the A350-1000 selection was based on its ability to match capacity closely to predicted demand on long routes, while also using significantly less fuel than older aircraft.
