The People's Bank of China (PBOC) has set its USD/CNY central parity rate at 6.7882, a slight decrease from the previous day's fixing of 6.7900.

This daily reference rate serves as a key indicator for the yuan's direction and guides trading in the onshore yuan, allowing it to trade within a ±2% band around the midpoint.

A lower fixing indicates a slightly weaker yuan relative to the US dollar, which can have implications for international investors and importers/exporters. A weaker yuan makes Chinese exports cheaper but increases the cost of imports and overseas debt.
