Peso Plunges to Record-Low Close at 62.265 per Dollar

The Philippine peso hit a new all-time low on August 28, closing at 62.265 per dollar amid a strong US dollar run.

This marks a record-low for the currency, surpassing its previous low of 61.888 set just a day prior.

The peso weakened by 37.7 centavos from the previous session, with trading volume reaching nearly $2 billion, up from $1.8 billion a day earlier.
